Honeywell’s Loading Systems include the Fusion4 MSC-L multi stream controller for loading operations. It provides custody-transfer approved loading for up to 24 meter streams simultaneously in road loading, rail loading, marine loading and tank farm operations.
1010 Load Computer
The 1010 Load Computer is a loading system designed for loading gantries of petroleum refineries and oil marketing terminals to control and manage the custody transfer of petrochemical products onto road tankers, railcars and barges.
The 1010 Load Computer is a powerful and intelligent loading system, capable of controlling and managing the loading procedure simultaneously via multiple loading arms. The loading system is available in two versions: 1010CJ for straight product loading and 1010CB for MID-compliant integrated loading, blending and additization. It has standard provision for all measurement and control functions for loading/unloading/blending of products such as fuel, biofuels, chemicals, bitumen, asphalt and LPG.
This intelligent loading system offers numerous functions, including flow measurement with pulse verification to API and ISO standards, temperature and volume correction and digital valve control. The 1010 Load Computer also delivers advanced functionalities such as configurable I/O for easy field configuration, integrated touch key card readers for authorization, and smart connectivity to industry standard Honeywell Enraf additive injection and blending systems.
The powerful microprocessor in 1010 Load Computer allows complex algorithm processing to simultaneously control loading on up to four arms, with totals, flow rates, preset values, various operational parameters and operator messages displayed on a large alphanumeric LCD display. The loading system can operate in stand-alone mode or as part of an integrated system fully controlled by the TAS – with added flexibility for customization by Honeywell CEPS (Custom Engineering & Project Specials) as per user specific requirements.
The 1010 Load Computer can be scaled from a single arm straight product loading application to multi-arm straight product/blending application without any changes in the hardware. Only requirement would be firmware upgrade and re-wiring – as opposed to competitive offerings that require complete hardware upgrades.
Fusion4 MSC-L
Fusion4 MSC-L is the world’s most advanced multi stream controller for loading operations. Custody-transfer approved loading for up to 24 meter streams simultaneously and other advanced features mean fewer, more powerful devices for road loading, rail, marine and tank farm operations.
Fusion4 MSC-L controls up to six loading arms simultaneously with blending and additives. An intuitive interface and sophisticated features help keep the operation moving:
-
Configurable workflows and multiple languages tailored to the terminal
-
Dynamic displays and a large screen for process visibility
-
Flexible I/Os, calibration wizards and live firmware upgrades for fast start-ups and uninterrupted operations
-
Advanced alarm handing and diagnostic dashboards for a safe, reliable operation
-
Remote monitoring, configuration and printing of transactions, alarms and communication using Fusion4 Portal software.
With a modular design and the widest selection of protocol libraries and communication network capabilities available, Fusion4 brings intelligent control to any loading operation.
Fusion4 is designed for the way people work. Easy as a smart-phone app, self-explanatory graphical icons drive easy access to all operations and functions to cut training and delays. Its simple, menu-driven operation guides users quickly and simply through identification, product and recipe entry, and transaction control. The large, 8” color screen and real-time dynamic displays provide at-a-glance monitoring of all loading operations. It is not just a controller but a complete hazardous area operating station.
Fusion4 MSC-L offers plug-and-play connectivity to Honeywell terminal automation solutions, load computers and Fusion4 Portal software as well as third-party systems using protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP.
Loading Assemblies
Honeywell Enraf provides pre-fabricated engineered loading and off-loading assemblies for all types of petrochemical bulk terminals, marine, rail and biofuels storage/distribution facilities. The solutions are totally integrated, modular and scalable, suitable for customers building a green field site or expanding/upgrading an existing one.
Engineered loading and off-loading solutions are pre-fabricated assemblies for downstream petrochemical applications such as:
-
Top/Bottom loading
-
Ethanol loading/offloading
-
Biodiesel loading/offloading
-
Rail car loading/offloading

As the industry leader with 500+ years of combined in-house experience, Honeywell Enraf’s solutions are:
-
Designed as per customer requirements
-
Fabricated with stringent quality guidelines of Honeywell Operating System (HOS) and lean 6- manufacturing techniques
-
Functional flow tested simulating worst case operational scenarios
-
Installed & Commissioned with minimal operational disruptions
-
Project managed from conception to completion
Loading assemblies for up to six arms often include integrated Fusion4 BioBlend systems for biofuel blending and preinstalled Mini-Pak injection systems to facilitate additive injection capability. With standard features such as vapor recovery, vehicle grounding and overfill protection, these systems have numerous upgrade options including canopies, walkways, operator shelters, etc.
Offloading assemblies cover a range of requirements, starting with simple single-unit, standalone off-loading skids for the decanting of road tankers and transferring product from vehicle to site storage. These systems can be fully automated with dual redundancy, integrating multiple functions into the off-loading process such as de-aeration, denaturing, additivation or blending. Multiple metering technologies can be utilized in these systems including positive displacement and Coriolis for custody transfer, with both local and remote data reconciliation. Ethanol and biodiesel offloading can be facilitated from both road tanker and rail car, as can LPG.
