OneWireless Adaptor OWA100

Honeywell’s OWA 100 OneWireless™ Adapter enables users to easily gain access to the information locked in their HART devices and bring it into any ISA100™ Wireless control system. The OneWireless Adapter eliminates the need to install long runs of cable and automates data collection for improved efficiency and productivity.

The OWA 100 OneWireless Adapter is a part of Honeywell’s OneWireless Network and provides a reliable solution for getting data wirelessly from any 2- or 4 -wired HART device. Users can improve their monitoring capabilities by automating the collection of information from remote field devices by simply adding the wireless adapter to their HART device, which was earlier difficult or cost-prohibitive to reach. The wireless adapter also provides access to the HART process variable (PV) and diagnostic data and allows configuration of the HART device parameters from a HART-enabled system such as FDM or AMS.

Installing and using this ISA100 Wireless product is a quick and easy process. Honeywell’s wireless portfolio brings peace of mind to users by enabling fast and reliable transmission of field information to the control system.

Using the proven radio of the XYR™ 6000 family of wireless transmitters, the OWA 100 OneWireless Adapter allows HART devices to send information to the Honeywell OneWireless Network. This network includes wireless access points, which form a highly-reliable and secure industrial wireless MESH infrastructure, ensuring reliable and fast transmission of field information into Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS) or any other control system wirelessly via OPC client or Modbus-TCP.

Each OWA 100 OneWireless Adapter scavenges power from the 4-20ma loop, in addition to being battery powered by a long-life “D” size lithium battery. The wireless adapter’s transmission range is 1,000 ft (305 m) line of sight (LOS) under ideal conditions.

The OWA 100 OneWireless Adapter is an easy and cost-effective solution for bringing HART information from field devices located in remote and hazardous locations into an ISA100 Wireless system. The wireless adapter helps users improve their operational efficiency and optimize resource utilization by eliminating the need to send employees to collect field device readings.
