Honeywell Tanksystem’s HERMetic Sampler GT or GT Chem are dedicated to applications where closed static sampling is required and a sample of approximately 0.5 liter of liquid is needed. Sampler GT is suited to non-corrosive liquids, while Sampler GT Chem is ideal for withstanding corrosive chemicals.
HERMetic Sampler GT and GT Chem are portable gas tight samplers for closed operations with liquid transfer. The samplers are ideal in the following cases:
- For products with low or high viscosity
- When a representative sample is required
- When no gas release during sampling operation is permitted
- Spot, zone, running or bottom sampling bottles are available, depending on the type of sample requested by the user for analysis
- For connection on a 2-inch HERMetic compact valve
- Installation on other kind of 2-inch valves with special adapter
HERMetic Sampler GT comes with FKM gaskets for application in hydrocarbons, while HERMetic Sampler GT Chem is equipped with FFKM gaskets for application in most chemicals. The gas tight construction of the samplers avoids a pressure and vapor release from the tank and exposure to fumes during operation.
HERMetic Sampler GT and GT Chem allow easy installation on 2-inch vapor control valves with quick connect coupling. The sampling can is lowered into the tank to get the sample. The collected sample can be transferred into a laboratory bottle and sent to the laboratory for analysis. The sampler can be delivered with any of the available zone, spot, bottom or running sampling bottles, depending on user needs and the type of sample required.
The equipment is designed and certified for use in explosive areas; it comes with KEMA 06ATEX0027 (II 1 G c IIB T6) Construction Safety approval and complies with the European Union’s Directive 94/9 EC.

The HERMetic Sampler GT4 allows easy installation on the deck valve. The sampling height can be read on the graduated tape, while the sampling bottle can be easily removed by opening the top of the sampler housing.
The sampler carries the KEMA 06ATEX0027 (II 1 G c IIB T6) construction safety approval and complies with the European Union’s Directive 94/9 EC. It also complies with a host of regulations, including API (MPMS Chap 17.11).
