The XYR™ 3000 is a family of wireless multiplexer input/output (I/O) modules, gateways and modems and is part of Honeywell’s wireless portfolio, designed to improve plant safety, equipment reliability, regulatory compliance and process efficiency. XYR 3000 provides simple means of implementing a wireless solution and supports a wide range of communication protocols to offer a greater choice of instrumentation for industrial wireless networks.
XYR 3000 products are ideal for applications such as safety showers, tank level monitoring, remote pump control, valve and bearing monitoring and adding off-the-shelf sensors to the field. Manufacturers can connect existing wired instrumentation using these products, converting the signals to wireless for increased data reliability.
The XYR 3000 wireless multiplexer provides a simple, cost-effective and reliable means of implementing a wireless solution for applications with high-density I/O concentrations, providing the lowest cost per wireless measurement point.
The XYR 3000 gateways provide a wireless interface between various data buses used in automation applications.
XYR 3000 modems provide serial or Ethernet connectivity by radio and provide excellent means of linking Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control System (DCS), SCADA intelligent transducers and I/O.
The XYR 3000 wireless multiplexer offers reliable wireless solution through multiprotocol support for wireless I/O points to enable interfacing to multiple applications and can connect up to 50 transmitters on a single gateway for economies of scale. The XYR 3000 wireless Modbus or Ethernet gateways interface between PLCs, DCS, HMI or SCADA systems and the XYR 3000 wireless I/O units, providing a highly secure radio link for transmitting this data.
The XYR 3000 wireless Modems provide either RS232/RS485 or Ethernet connectivity by radio. They can act in router/bridge, AP/client and serial server modes. XYR 3000 products provide the flexibility to start small and build a large system.
XYR 3000 offers significant installation cost savings, greater flexibility and faster project implementation. It enables data and I/O points to be transmitted wirelessly over long distances, providing a cost-effective way to monitor processes that were previously difficult to measure. The modems and gateways provide a low-cost wireless solution alternative for Ethernet and serial connectivity across a broad range of process applications.
